ABOUT La Petite Frog!

Hi there, I am Kaye and my passion is the great outdoors. I love to walk in the hills and reaching the top of White Nancy to take in the views stretching across Cheshire and as far away as Manchester.

I also run with a local club which is full of social activities and plenty of banter. We run through lots of farmer’s fields and get covered in mud and then catch up with bacon butties and a nice cappuccino. It’s also a fantastic way of raising money and much needed help for charities.

My wind down time consists of walking my dog Bessie, a golden Labrador, and spending time with my two boys. I love taking time out to catch up with my partner, family and friends. I especially love all music from classical to indie! Having recently purchased a violin my dream one day would be to play with an orchestra - watch this space!

Sadly, my mum is no longer with me, but her strength, determination and her devilish sense of humour inspires me to reach for the stars, face challenges and always laugh uncontrollably.

 FRANCOIS ❤

Francois was born [made] in 1979 in a little village called Locronan, Brittany. He was bought by a baker and was used for delivering breads and pastries to the local and neighbouring Patisseries and Boulangeries, traveling the cobbled streets of Brittany.

It’s quite fitting now that Francois is mainly a Creperie, as Brittany is where the crepe began. Crepes are always celebrated on the second day of February [Crepe Day] and are traditionally served with cider.

Traveling to England, he was bought by a company and transformed into a catering van and he has been to more events and festivals than anyone you have met!

My partner and I spotted Francois in 2017, looking a bit worse for wear, so we brought him back to life with a full makeover and some TLC. Francois has moved from Surrey to Macclesfield, and he now is the backbone for the business La Petite Frog (the name coming from my love of frogs) and he can be seen all over Cheshire and the North West of England.

 PRODUCE

Most of what I purchase for producing our menu is what I like to call home grown. Using independent suppliers that have been established in my home town Macclesfield since before I was born. From the local baker, the local butcher and the corner fruit and veg shop all producing high quality produce made daily on their premises. We even using local companies that make their own pesto and chutneys having discovered them on our biggest artisan market in Cheshire here in Macclesfield. I make all our crepes myself so can also provide gluten free crepes. Our tray bakes are also all homemade.
